Check & Connect Mentor Training is an in-depth, competency-based training designed to provide Check & Connect mentors with the information, competencies, and skills needed to be an effective Check & Connect mentor at their local site.
Participants will learn about and understand—
This training is designed for those assigned the role of Check & Connect mentor as well as those interested in Check & Connect mentoring principles and practices. Check & Connect site coordinators and administrators are also encouraged to attend.

Yes! When completing registration, you have the option of adding additional group members when reviewing your registration summary. Group discounts are available for organizations with 5+ participants if registered as a group.
Check & Connect site coordinators and administrators are also encouraged to attend. Coordinators who directly manage Mentors are highly encouraged to participate in Mentor training.
Training start dates may not be delayed. All registered participants must complete training within four weeks of receiving access to the training videos. Please complete registration when you are ready to begin training.
Yes! Completing Check & Connect’s Self-Paced Online Mentor Training as a group is encouraged; however, it is not required. This self-paced online training can be completed individually.
Check & Connect’s Online Training is password protected. Within 3 business days of registering, participants will receive an email invitation to create a password to access the training. The email invitation will come from email@example.com with the subject "You're invited to a Video Hub."
Self-Paced Online Mentor Training will take approximately 3.5 to 6 hours to view the training videos and engage in thoughtful reflective activities throughout the video content.
The Check & Connect Implementing with Fidelity manual and Training Participant Guide are included in the training materials that will be shipped to the registration mailing address. The C&C Implementing with Fidelity manual is our expanded guide to the theoretical foundations, components, elements, and steps for implementing Check & Connect. The Training Participant Guide includes introductory resources and other materials that are part of the training activities. Both resources will be utilized throughout the online training experience.
Yes! Once the training access has expired, participants will be emailed a link to download a certificate of participation via email stating Check & Connect Self-Paced Online Mentor Training has been completed. The amount of time will be 3 hours, which reflects the training video viewing time.
